Warranty Policy

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

SolarTronics Warranty

  • Main drive units and PCBs: 2-year return-to-base warranty
  • Accessories (remotes, keypads, batteries): 1-year warranty

Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. Products must be installed and operated in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

Not covered: misuse, incorrect installation, water ingress, lightning damage, accidental damage, vermin/insect damage, or normal wear and tear.

Freight costs associated with warranty claims may be payable by the customer. Technical support may be provided directly through Ironbark or the supplier where appropriate.

DACE Warranty

  • Products: 2-year warranty
  • Batteries: 3-month warranty

Please contact us before returning any item. Customers are generally responsible for freight costs. We will work through troubleshooting steps with you first, as many issues can be resolved without a return.

Merlin Warranty

  • Gate operators: 3-year warranty
  • Accessories: 12-month warranty

Warranty Claim Process

  1. Contact Ironbark before returning any item.
  2. Please provide:
    • Proof of purchase
    • Photos or videos of the issue
    • Installation details
    • Serial numbers where applicable
  3. Many issues can be resolved remotely without returning the product.
  4. Warranty assessment may require products to be returned for inspection.
  5. Labour, electrician, installer, or travel costs are not covered unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
  6. Products installed contrary to manufacturer instructions may void warranty.
